Crown has been advised that a third-party hotel reservation platform used by Crown and other hotel operators globally was impacted by a cyber incident on Friday 11 September, 2026. 

The provider has advised that the incident involved unauthorised access to limited contact information connected to some hotel reservations. This may include guest names, email addresses and phone numbers. 

Importantly, the provider has confirmed that payment card information, financial details and passwords were not involved.  

Crown has received a small number of reports from guests who received suspicious WhatsApp messages appearing to relate to their hotel reservation and seeking payment through a link. We are contacting guests who may have been impacted as a precaution, including guests with recent or upcoming stays. 

Crown will never ask guests to make a payment via WhatsApp. If you receive an unexpected message about your booking, particularly one asking you to click a link, make a payment or provide personal or payment information, please do not respond or click on any links.
